About HLLVN.com

The unofficial community wiki for Hell Let Loose: Vietnam.

What is HLLVN.com?

HLLVN.com is a community-built knowledge base for Hell Let Loose: Vietnam — the 50v50 tactical first-person shooter from Expression Games and Team17, releasing June 18, 2026.

The game covers the Vietnam War conflict period of 1965–1973, pitting the US Armed Forces against the North Vietnamese Army across six large-scale maps. The site covers everything a player needs: the 17 confirmed roles across 6 battlefield units, weapons built in collaboration with the Royal Armouries, maps, vehicles (helicopters, tanks, patrol boats), game mechanics, and tactical guidance.

Where to get the game

Hell Let Loose: Vietnam is available digitally on Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store for PC, as well as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A physical edition for PS5 and Xbox Series X follows on August 4, 2026.

Cross-play

Cross-platform play is a confirmed launch feature. Servers are clearly tagged as cross-platform, PC only, or console only — players choose the experience that suits them when picking a server. Server owners can also configure which platforms are allowed on their server. This means cross-play is available for those who want it, without forcing it on players who prefer to stay within their platform.

Why does this site exist?

Modern wiki platforms — Fandom, MediaWiki — feel old. Players deserve a clean, fast, modern reference that loads in under a second and reads well on a phone. HLLVN.com is that site.

We're committed to factual accuracy. Everything marked "confirmed" comes from official Team17 / Expression Games sources. Everything else is clearly labelled as speculation or beta data.

Royal Armouries collaboration

One of the notable development stories behind HLL: Vietnam is the collaboration with the Royal Armouries — the UK's national collection of arms and armour. Expression Games visited the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds to scan, photograph, and audio-record Vietnam-era weapons. The result: historically accurate models, animations, and sound design built from real artefacts. The first weapon publicly shown from the game was an in-engine render of the M16A1. See the full collaboration writeup.
